Studying English and History of Art at university led me to take annual school trips to Florence, where I immersed myself in the study of art and architecture. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the creative world and laid the foundation for my artistic journey.

Drawing and exploring creativity has always been central to my life. Over the past three years, I have been studying under a local artist, allowing me to fully dedicate myself to the development of my work.

From oils to acrylics and mixed media, I have continued to expand my range and experiment with different techniques. I am particularly inspired by the abundance of colour and texture found in natural landscapes, and I strive to capture that energy and vibrancy in my pieces.

Recently, I have also branched into pattern design, translating my artwork into fabric and household items — bringing creativity into everyday spaces.

I aim to try and capture the beauty of original multimedia landscapes by using vibrant colours, wildflowers, and dramatic skies.  Using a variety of media enables me to not only add texture but also to add variety in pattern and colours.

I repair and repurpose old frames that I buy in auctions / junk shops and bring them back to life by creating new paintings inspired by the frames!
These framed landscape paintings are full of vibrant colours and textures that I find in the landscapes around me. These paintings celebrate the abundance of nature and also reclaim otherwise discarded, very beautiful and often ornate, frames. These frames are as varied as nature!

I love exploring how colour and lines create and evoke a landscape. Setting this against a stormy, moody sky is beautiful. It is the patterns created that inspire me. I also like to develop ideas for the abstract beauty of landscapes with unique textures and I aim to paintings offer a fresh perspective on nature's ever-changing scenery. To capture a fleeting moment of nature's abundance is the aim and sometimes I paint 2 pictures simultaneously to ensure speed and looseness of style

Developing my observational skills has been central to my development as an artist. Again, it is colour, shape and tone that inspires me.

I love creating patterns using colour and nature. Inspired by the work of Orla Kiely I have begun to upload my artwork onto a variety of objects; textiles, canvas totes, mugs, coasters, trivets and also begun to explore the creation of 'hand embellished limited edition prints.'
